Fabian Lächler

Fabian Lächler is an applied AI and innovation professional with a multidisciplinary background at the intersection of engineering, physical modelling, data science and artificial intelligence.

His career started with a technical foundation through an apprenticeship in production mechanics, and evolved through remote sensing, environmental modelling and scientific data analysis into industrial data analytics and AI. This combination of hands-on engineering understanding, quantitative modelling and data-driven methods has shaped his approach to developing AI solutions for complex real-world systems.

Since 2022, he has been working as a Project Leader at Fraunhofer Austria, where he identifies high-impact industrial challenges and translates them into applied AI solutions and collaborative R&D initiatives. His work spans the strategic design of advanced AI systems, the development of research and funding strategies, and the leadership of projects involving industry and scientific partners.

A central focus of his work is bridging emerging AI research and industrial application: turning new methods into concrete use cases, research programs and implementable solutions while connecting technical, scientific and business perspectives.
